Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information the AGE conference system collects and how it is used. It goes together with our Terms of Use.

What we collect

Your name, title, email address, university or organization, country, and anything you choose to add to your profile such as a photo, biography, social links and review keywords. We also keep your submissions, co-author details, reviews, session choices and copies of the emails the system sends you.

How we use it

To run conferences: receive and review papers, assign reviewers and session chairs, schedule presentations, handle registration and communicate with you. Emails about your own papers, reviews, registration and conferences are part of running the service and are always sent. If you tick the optional box when you sign up (or in your profile), we also use your email address to tell you about future conferences, events and calls for papers run by AGE, its family of conferences and its affiliates. You can turn this off at any time in your profile or with the unsubscribe link in every such message.

Conference organizers who run a conference on this system can see and email the authors, reviewers and committee members of that conference about it. They may not use that information for anything else.

We never sell your data

We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone. It is used only within AGE, its family of conferences and its affiliates, and by the service providers that help us run the system, such as our hosting, database and email delivery providers, who may only use it for that purpose. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

Who can see what

Reviewers see papers according to the conference's blind review setting. Conference chairs can see submissions and the details of authors and committee members. Your public profile is shown only if you choose to make it public.

Your choices

Marketing emails from AGE include a way to stop receiving them. You can edit your profile at any time, and you can ask us to see, correct or delete your information by writing to info@globaleducators.net. We may need to keep submissions and records that a conference needs for its program and archive.

AGE membership

Submitting a paper to an AGE conference requires free membership of the Association of Global Educators, which you agree to when you sign up. Membership has no fees or obligations. It does not by itself subscribe you to marketing email or list you in any directory. You can leave AGE at any time from your profile, which removes your membership, directory listing and volunteer roles.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account from your profile. Your name, email, photo, biography, links, interests and email choices are removed and you can no longer log in. Papers, reviews and payment records that a conference needs for its program, archive and accounts are kept without your personal details, as “Deleted user”. If you have no such records, your account is removed completely.

Security and retention

Data is stored with reputable cloud providers and protected by access controls. We keep information for as long as needed to run our conferences and keep records, and then delete or anonymize it.
